DOTX to PDF Converter

A DOTX template is a zipped Office Open XML package, so the converter begins by validating the uploaded .dotx file and opening it with a ZIP reader. Step one reads the package manifest and locates word/document.xml, the primary body content file used by Word templates. Step two parses WordprocessingML nodes and extracts paragraph text from run text elements while preserving paragraph breaks. Step three paginates that extracted content into a PDF with consistent margins, line wrapping, and automatic page creation. Step four generates a downloadable PDF file and reports conversion stats such as paragraph and page count.

This mode is intentionally best-effort text export. DOTX files can include styles, fields, drawing objects, content controls, and complex layout instructions that do not map one-to-one into a lightweight browser PDF renderer. The result focuses on readable text output rather than perfect visual replication of the original template design.

Practical tip: if you need the most complete output, first open the template in Word, populate sample content, and save a filled document before conversion. That reduces missing placeholder context and gives cleaner paragraph flow. All processing happens locally in your browser. Files are never uploaded to our servers.
