How this GPU Stress Test works
This test loads a WebGL program directly into your browser and hands your graphics card a genuinely heavy job: for every pixel on the canvas, every single frame, it runs a loop of complex-number math to render part of a fractal pattern. That calculation happens entirely on the GPU rather than the CPU, which is why it behaves like a real graphics workload instead of a simple animation.
Choosing an intensity level changes two things at once: how many loop iterations run per pixel and, at the higher levels, how many pixels get rendered by increasing the canvas resolution. Low intensity is light enough to run smoothly on most laptops and phones. Extreme intensity multiplies both numbers, which is what actually strains a graphics card rather than just looking busy on screen.
While the test runs, a timer records the gap between each rendered frame and converts it into frames per second. The tool keeps a rolling record of these numbers to show your current, average, and lowest FPS, since a single instantaneous reading can be misleading. When you stop the test, those numbers are compared against a target for the intensity level you chose to produce a simple score.
Everything happens locally in your browser tab. No video, benchmark result, or hardware information is sent anywhere, and closing the tab stops the workload immediately.
