Three drills, not one warm-up click test
Aim has more than one failure mode. Gridshot drills raw click speed and precision on isolated targets. Tracking drills the smooth, continuous correction needed to stay on a moving target. Flick drills the fast, large-angle snap that either lands clean or misses entirely. Training only one leaves real gaps in the other two.
How this Aim Trainer works
This trainer runs three separate drills because aim is not one skill. Gridshot places a single target at a random position; a hit scores instantly, records the reaction time since the target appeared, and spawns the next one immediately, so it isolates pure click speed and precision on stationary, isolated targets.
Tracking replaces discrete hits with continuous contact. One target drifts around the arena at a constant speed, bouncing off the edges, and every frame the tool checks whether your pointer is within the target's radius. The final score is simply the share of the round your pointer spent on target, which rewards smooth, small corrections rather than sudden movements — the opposite muscle to Gridshot's fast snap-and-click.
Flick combines both demands under a deadline. A target flashes at a position deliberately far from the previous one and stays visible for a little over a second. Click it in time and the reaction time is recorded as a hit; let the window expire and it counts as a miss before the next target appears somewhere else far away. This forces a fast, committed movement rather than a careful walk-up, which is what separates a flick from an ordinary click.
Each drill keeps its own personal best, stored in your browser's local storage, since the three are not comparable to each other — a Gridshot reaction time and a Tracking percentage measure different things entirely. Nothing about your session is uploaded; the scores live only on your device.
