A simple reaction time test for games and focus

Measure how quickly you respond to a visual signal. The tool uses five clean attempts, warns on early clicks, and shows your average, best, and latest time.

Why Use This Reaction Time Test?

Five Attempt Average

One lucky click can mislead you. Five attempts give a fairer view of your normal reaction speed.

Early Click Protection

The test marks false starts so your score only reflects real reactions after the signal appears.

Useful Score Breakdown

See your latest time, average time, best time, and progress in one compact result area.

Works on Any Device

Use a mouse, touch screen, trackpad, or the Space key. Compare results on the same device for best accuracy.

How this Reaction Time Test works

This reaction time test measures how quickly you respond to a clear visual signal. When you start the test, the panel turns into a waiting state and the tool chooses a random delay. The delay changes on every attempt so you cannot predict the exact moment. When the panel turns green, click, tap, or press the Space key as fast as you can. The timer starts at the color change and stops at your first valid response, then shows the result in milliseconds.

The test uses five attempts because one result is not enough to judge reaction speed. A single round can be affected by a lucky guess, a blink, a slow tap, or a small delay from your device. After five valid reactions, the tool calculates your average time, best time, and latest time. If you click before the green signal, the attempt is marked as too soon and does not count toward the final average.

Everything runs in your browser. No score is uploaded or saved on our server. For the most useful comparison, keep the same device, browser, input method, and screen refresh rate. Use the result as a practical benchmark for gaming warm-ups, focus checks, or simple practice, not as a medical or professional diagnosis.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a reaction time test?
It is a simple test that measures the delay between a signal appearing and your response. This tool uses a color change as the signal and reports the result in milliseconds.
What is a good reaction time score?
Many people land around 200 to 300 milliseconds on a visual reaction test, but device delay and input method matter. Compare your own results under the same setup.
Why does the test use five attempts?
Five attempts reduce the effect of one lucky click or one distracted moment. The average gives a steadier view of your normal response speed.
Does clicking early improve my score?
No. Early clicks are marked as too soon and do not count. This keeps the test focused on real reaction time after the signal appears.
Can I use the Space key instead of the mouse?
Yes. You can click, tap, or press Space. For fair comparison, use the same input method each time you test.
Why is my reaction time different on mobile?
Touch screens, browser handling, and display latency can change the result. Mobile scores should be compared separately from mouse or keyboard scores.
Can this help with gaming?
It can help you warm up and notice changes in focus. It does not replace aim training, but it gives a quick check of basic visual response speed.
Are my results stored?
No. Results are calculated in your browser and stay on the page only until you reset or leave.
Is this a medical test?
No. It is a casual online reaction time test for practice and comparison. It should not be used for medical, driving, or professional assessment.
