Multi-Format Output

Key Features

3 Output Formats

Choose PNG (lossless with transparency), JPG (small file sizes), or WEBP (modern compression).

Custom Resolution

Scale from 0.5x to 5x to produce pixel-perfect images from tiny thumbnails to print-ready posters.

100% Private

All conversion happens locally using the Canvas API. Your files are never uploaded to any server.

Instant Processing

Canvas API rendering is nearly instantaneous — no waiting for cloud servers or file upload queues.

Common Use Cases

Social Media

Convert SVG logos and icons to PNG or WEBP for social media profiles and posts

Print Design

Export at 4x or 5x scale for high-DPI print materials, merchandise, and signage

Email & Docs

Convert vectors to JPG or PNG since most email clients and document editors don't support SVG

How this Vector Converter works

This converter rasterizes SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) files into pixel-based image formats using the browser's native Canvas API and Image rendering pipeline. The SVG is first loaded as an Image element, which the browser's built-in SVG renderer interprets — including all paths, shapes, text, gradients, and transformations defined in the SVG markup.

The Image is then drawn onto an HTML5 Canvas element at the user-selected scale multiplier. A 100×100px SVG at 3x scale produces a 300×300px canvas. The Canvas API's toBlob() method then encodes the pixel data into the chosen output format: PNG (lossless with alpha transparency), JPEG (lossy with configurable quality, white background applied since JPEG has no alpha channel), or WEBP (modern format with both lossy and lossless modes and excellent compression ratios).

The scale slider allows output from 0.5x (thumbnail) to 5x (print-resolution) of the original SVG dimensions. For JPEG and WEBP, an additional quality slider controls the compression level. All rendering and encoding happens locally in the browser — SVG files never leave the user's device.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a vector file?
A vector file (like SVG) uses mathematical paths instead of pixels, allowing images to scale to any size without losing quality. This converter rasterizes vectors into pixel-based formats.
Why convert SVG to PNG, JPG, or WEBP?
While SVG is great for web usage, many platforms (social media, email, print) require raster formats. PNG preserves transparency, JPG offers small file sizes for photos, and WEBP provides modern compression.
What does the scale slider do?
The scale multiplier controls the output resolution. A 100×100px SVG at 2x scale produces a 200×200px image. Use higher scales (3x-5x) for print-quality output.
Is transparency preserved?
Yes, PNG and WEBP formats preserve transparency from your SVG. JPG does not support transparency, so a white background is applied automatically.
Are my files uploaded to any server?
No. All conversion happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your SVG files never leave your device, ensuring 100% privacy.
