Remove Color from Image

Upload any image from your device and the Remove Color from Image tool loads it into an on-screen canvas. Once the image appears, you have two ways to select the color you want to remove. You can click the color picker input and choose a hex value directly, or you can click anywhere on the canvas to sample that exact pixel color — the selected color updates instantly.

The Tolerance slider controls how strict the match has to be. At zero, only pixels that exactly match the chosen color become transparent. As you increase the tolerance, the tool also removes pixels with similar colors — useful for images that have soft shadows, gradients, or anti-aliased edges along the background. The distance calculation uses the Euclidean formula across the red, green, and blue channels, so the result is perceptually consistent.

All processing runs locally using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded to a server. When the result looks right, click Download to save the output as a PNG file, which preserves the transparency layer. Graphic designers use this to clean product photos, developers use it to strip solid backgrounds from sprite sheets, and content creators use it to prepare images for overlays and thumbnails.
