CR2 to JPG Converter — Convert Canon RAW Photos Online

This image converter extracts high-quality JPEG previews embedded within Canon CR2 (Camera RAW version 2) files entirely inside your browser. CR2 files are based on the TIFF/EP format and contain multiple image layers including a full-resolution JPEG preview alongside the raw sensor data. The converter parses the binary TIFF structure, locating the embedded JPEG by scanning for the SOI marker (0xFFD8) within the file's IFD entries.

Once the JPEG preview is located, the tool extracts the complete image data including EXIF metadata such as camera model, exposure settings, and GPS coordinates. This embedded preview is typically the same resolution as the sensor output and represents the camera's own JPEG rendering with its default processing applied.
