How this AI Color Palette Generator works
Picking colors that work together takes more than eyeballing a color wheel. This tool builds palettes two ways: Random Mode applies real color-theory rules directly in your browser, and AI Mode reads a short description of a mood, brand, or project and asks an AI model to translate that into a matching set of HEX colors.
In Random Mode, choose a harmony style before generating. Complementary pairs hues from opposite sides of the color wheel for strong contrast, analogous pulls neighboring hues for a calmer look, triadic and tetradic space three or four hues evenly for balanced variety, and monochromatic stays within one hue while varying lightness and saturation. Each style runs through the same math a designer would use, so the colors in every palette actually relate to each other.
AI Mode adds a text box where you describe what the palette is for, such as a brand, a season, or a feeling, plus the same harmony style as a guide. The description and settings are sent to an AI provider, which returns HEX codes that get validated before they reach the screen; if the response comes back short or fails, the tool quietly fills the gap with a Random Mode palette so you are never left empty-handed.
Every swatch shows its HEX code and copies with one click. The toolbar above the results can also copy every code as a list or as a ready-to-paste CSS :root block with each color already assigned to a custom property.
